About

I’m Michelle Tassie (she/her) and I am Sprouting Balance. I understand that life can be difficult to handle. You are juggling too much and feel that there are never enough hours in a day or enough days in that week. I want to support you in regaining your balance and I wish to support and educate our children to be healthy adults.

Version 2

I’ve completed the university education, I did the post-grad and I worked in that high-stress job. And to regain my balance, I needed to not only throw a sprout, but grow a new plant. Through my own health battles and my own soul searching, I have found something I enjoy. By creating and teaching workshops and classes, I get to blend my love of education and wellness. I also get to express my creativity through jewelry. My yoga inspired necklaces and bracelets can be found in my etsy Store Sprouting Vintage.

I am a registered teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers, a certified Fitness Instructor Specialist (canfitpro), Healthy Eating & Weight Loss Coach (canfitpro), a fitness-based Pilates Instructor and a Yoga Alliance registered, 500hr-certified, Yoga Instructor. I have enjoyed taking courses in Nutrition and Wellness at George Brown and I hope to one day take a few courses in their Healthy Culinary Arts program.

My education and experience includes an Honours Bachelor of Arts from University of Toronto and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the Institute of Education, University of London (UK). Aside from teaching, I have worked for many years in an office environment as an Administrator. And most importantly, I am a mom, a wife, a daughter, and a friend. Help me grow Sprouting Balance while helping you grow what you love and who you love.
